I'm resurrecting an old thread here. Been poking around looking to get ideas for a snorkel on my deuce. I don't weld so I had been entertaining purchasing one for one of the vendors out there but was a bit put off by the price. Also in my looking around I really liked the Donaldson Ram air cap...
Hey Mike,
Let me know when you are ready to do the headgasket or the overhaul. You aren't to far form me and if you wanted an extra hand would be happy to come lend one. My motor...knock on wood is solid as of now but a little hands on experience would be nice.

I was wondering if my brackets may of been bent...wasn't sure if I should try bending them forward a bit. The mounting holes for the 2 brackets line up nicely.
Quick question...where are you guys finding 3.5" pipe. I'm having a hard time finding it short of ordering it online. I found 3.5"...
Thanks again for the info guys.
tcruwithme- I tried loosening my upper support bracket and tightening it the way you suggested and it didn't help on mine. Thanks for the suggestion.
Clinto- I'm a bit confused on what you mean by non-original clamp up top. The clamp that mine has holding it...
I installed the bracket, tightened it into place and then put the muffler clamp on. I didn't think it would make much of a difference but will reverse it and see if it does. I figured maybe my brackets were bent a little as the truck exhaust had the same lean when I got it, and when I...
Thanks for the input guys. Think the easiest way to go will be the smaller D-clamp to pull it forward more, then a new piece of 3.5" pipe about 40-41" long will give me the same height and it will eliminate the rearward lean of the top pipe as well.
Hey guys,
Have a question. My deuce had a muffler installed already when I bought it. I believe the previous owner said it was a Donaldson but I'm not definitely sure. My issue is the my exhaust seems to lean back toward the rear of the truck instead of standing straight vertically. I want to...
I was at the show on Sunday only as other family obligations filled the early part of the weekend. I live about 45 minutes away from the show and thought it was great. A lot to see and even at the end of the weekend there were deals to be had. I had parts to pick up from Ken Kublo, which it is...
I actually found a source with all the parts to rebuild the unit I have. I'm pulling it out and sending to a local rebuild shop and will have them source the parts or I will for them. Thanks, I was misinformed that parts for the unit I have were NLA. I thank you though and will be intouch if my...
That would be great. I'll be there on Sunday, planning to be there between 8&9am. I'll look for you. Do you know what manufacturer you have? I'll likely have whatever used one I pick up rebuilt before installing it.
If anyone has a generator for an M35A2 multifuel let me know. I'd prefer on that is a rebuild or a core that can be rebuilt. Mine just started crapping out and it is a prestolite so I've been told the parts are no longer available to rebuild it.
Thanks
Voltedge,
I see Rusty Stud beat me to the answer. I was able to get those with basic hand tools, can't remember if I used a socket or open end wrench, may of even been a stubby, but they weren't difficult. If you can't get them I'd soak them good in penetrating oil and keep trying. You could...
I'm a relatively new member here. I joined in the fall of 2013. I was a complete noob to this hobby. While not mechanically incompetent it was still a totally new animal to me. I never experienced any negative feedback from anyone as I asked questions and began to learn the hobby but have heard...
Glad I found this thread as I'm getting ready to order my Rapco tan and black to finish the 3 color camo on my deuce. That mixkwik looks really cool. worth the money!!
