Well, yeah, it is just a M105 trailer, but the saw is supposed to slide out on tracks mounted to the bed and tailgate. The tailgate folds down via a hydraulic pump. The tailgate is much larger than a regular tailgate and has stands. There are mounted toolboxes inside, etc. I don't have...
Went to Mechanicsburg today to load out my first M105A2. Was purchased at Mechanicsburg Navy Depot in PA. As always, trip was not without excitement. About halfway into the trip north (only about 30 miles) the low air buzzer comes on and my air pressure was dropping to below 60 lbs. It was...
I've recently acquired a trailer mounted woodshop. I'll be retrieving soon. It's got a massive radial arm saw in the back, as well as a bunch of other tools in toolboxes.
Aside from this, I know nothing about these trailers. Does anyone have any info? I don't even know the model number...
The copper tube coming off the compressor on my truck rubbed up against the shroud/light surround support today while on the way to load out at Mechanicsburg today and resulted in a nice 1/8" hole in the line. Lost pressure quick, but was able to hold it at 60 lbs. while moving.
SO, do I...
uglysteve,
I drive a 2001 LR Discovery II and have two M101A1 trailers that I tow. One has the side racks and canvas, other doesn't. Great trailers. LR pulls them nicely. Though I do have a 2" lift on the disco, HD springs, and larger tires. So that affects my power, but puts the hitch...
I've been reading, searching and looking up TM's. However, I still have a question or two.
I have to recover a Deuce with no brakes. Pedal goes to the floor. I have good air so it's not that. I need to investigate where the leak may be. Any suggestions?
I suppose the first thing I need...
Swede,
Here in York/Red Lion area. Crazyguypa is also here in town.
When previewing I give at least one sale/lot number and then just look around. I've spent hours going over stuff, but they kind of know me by now. Need to appear as though you have a plan and aren't going to waste GL's...
I don't share the same sentiments about Memphis. At least in Chambersburg. I've always had great service from them. As for their trucks, I was going to go that route before I bought from GL as I needed a cosmetically acceptable truck that ran well for business reasons. Memphis has really...
My SF97's took about a month back in July.
We'll see how it goes this time around.
Tom,
I didn't PM you yet, but can help if available. I'll pm you soon.
What did Crazyguypa find out? Running/not which lot #?
Regards,
Jake
Correction, there were three deserts that sold in sale 3147 alone. Lot #s 3904,3940, and 3965 (from what I can tell). I presume it was one of these three since when you posted sale 3210 wasn't over yet.
I'll be there on Tuesday to load out a woodworking shop and trailer. Will be investigating other acquisitions as well to check on how to retrieve. I may have some time to investigate. There were I think three desert deuces between sale 3147 and 3210. Let me know which one and I can look...
If crazyguypa or medlog can't do it for whatever reason or you don't hook up in time, I'll be out there quite a bit over the next few weeks. Let me know. I'm just over in York, about an hour away.
Some of the nicer ones went a little higher than I expected, particularly 3964 which I had my eye on, but all were still good deals. Anyone else on here get trucks from 3147 in Chambersburg last night? Lots of "plain jane" runners that went cheap. Memphis probably bought 10 or more alone...
Gents,
I've searched a bit and printed out the appropriate pages from the TM 9-2320-361-20 for adjusting the clutch. My clutch seems to grab pretty late when letting it out. I guess this means it's "high". It also is hard to get into gear when cold. Well, it's hard shifting from second to...
I have both my trucks registered as commercial vehicles which are used for business. For commercial insurance I use Peerless Insurance through Mantz Miller Insurance Agency in Red Lion, PA. It's not cheap. Not bad if not compared to antique/classic registration/use.
Lotsa stuff in Chambersburg
I previewed the best I could with no specific direction given by any particular member. It was overwhelming to say the least. GL has over 50% of the lot right now and there were trucks all over. Trucks run the entire range from piles to rebuilt. Deuces to 5...
Frank,
If you are looking for assistance picking up, I may be able to help. I drove my two home to York from Chambersburg in May. Also, I got a quote from Douglas Equipment of 350 bucks to pick up the deuces should you still be considering that route.
I'm not too far from Windsor. You'll...
All,
I'm in Chambersburg on Business on Thursday of this week (12/20). My business will be very short, so I'm scheduled to preview in Chambersburg that day. THere are a ton of trucks coming up this/next week. At last count, approx. 86 deuces, 20 or so 5 tons, and a myriad of other vehicles...
