    Rerouting Heater Core Inlet Hose

Rule of thumb for sizing on pipe thread is....I.D. as big as pinky finger is 3/8, middle finger 1/2, and big as your thumb is 5/8 pipe thread, I think that one is 1/2" or 5/8, use your finger!:-D

    starting my "new M1009"

I really like the power service napa has, it is reasonably priced under 10.00 and treats 100 gallons. it has cetane boost, anti gel and cleaning qualities to list a few, and i've REALLY noticed a difference over the crap that comes out of the pump!:-D

    What happened to my mileage?

I too am hesitant to add another post to this long list, but to try and help I would guess that it's definately a fuel LEAK, my 1008 leaks some from the return lines every now and again and I dont always catch it right away. I bet one of the returns are leaking and like mine it just evap's on...

maybe it would be a good idea for you to read the thoery of operation posts below in the thread (can someone explain an Isolated ground). Good luck, hang in there, it all goes together eventually!:-D

Where can I get a RADIATOR REPLACEMENT???

rule of thumb is if you cant solder it, it's junk. I've seen too many aluminum/plastic tank rads fail, I would urge you not to go that direction, as you will have to deal with it again. The aluminum feature is ok, but the plastic tanks are attached to the aluminum with fold over tabs....this is...

Glow Plug Relay issues....I know, I know

You might try a GPR 109 from napa, same as recomended relays but only about 25-30 $, I noticed yours (s55) is not listed in the fac, and has not been recomended. Good luck:-D

Glow Plug Relay issues....I know, I know

you can eliminate the possiblity of 24v ruining the remaining glow plugs if one goes out and make it easier to trouble shoot electrical problems in this system by feeding power to the relay from the + side of batt 1 or running a jumper from the small juntion on the fire wall to the relay. If you...

Fuel Gauge, dash lights, etc - my new M1009

most of the trouble I have seen with fuel guages are the sending unit is just bad, or the ground attached to the screw on the lid has rusted/worn off, or the other end of the ground wire that attaches just inside the frame is corroded or broken off. The guage itself has rarely gone bad in my...

    CUCV purchase

I would say if someone wants to trade thier 4.10's for your 4.56's they're gonna owe you a bit. the 4.56 gears are sought after in the aftermarket alot for guys with 38" and bigger tires. It is a good idea for you though, if you want more speed and dont mind sacrificing a little towing power...

    starting my "new M1009"

my glow plug "wait" light did not illuminate in my 1008 when I had the controller card removed while diagnosing glow plug issues....are you sure yours has a card? Thats also a good reason it doesn't start, as the system isn't a circuit.

    Does your CUCV transmisson hum?

also I have noticed that the transfercase crossmember bolts (to frame) like to come loose. hum and potentially knocking of sorts can accompany this....might be time to check that?:-D

    Fuel Block

There is an 83 civi k-5 with the dual filter setup at the junk yard near my house...we get a lot of trucks there with 6.2's because it gets cold here and a lot of poeple give up on them...is it against forum rules for me to offer to send them to some of you guys that want to switch......:-D

    Does your CUCV transmisson hum?

even in 2wd the transfer case will hum if it is worn out some or low on fluid...did you check level of ATF?:-D

Brake light below fuel guage says I have a problem....

okay, I drove the 1008 to get coffee this morning and there was no problems at all. I was confident to do this because it's low population/slow speeds to get there and the ditch is only a few feet away! The drive was without incident. Pedal was great, the light never blinked at all. It seems...
