RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Calling Medlog
I'm 34, I can remember seeing that. I can remember being heavily repremanded for seeing that show on many school nights. That character was one of my favorites.
RE: Re: RE: changing water hose on deuce
I have a question about the water manifold bolts. I've pulled at a couple of mine, and it didn't feel right, now it's bugging me. (nothing's broken as of yet). I'm wondering if these thread into blind holes, open holes, basically how complex is the...
I agree, but I'm not sure how to make it better. I don't always have the best of luck searching, yet I know that ohters have great success with the same searches. (I'm thinking of Google here). Maybe I'm trying too hard, I dunno. I'm chiseling away at a suggestion I heard several times...
Three is indeed way too far off of the mark to be in the proportioning of water and anti-freeze solution.
Absoluely. A good test is a very tiny container with absolutely brand new coolant (dribblings from the jug is enough if you emptied it all into the radiator) and an equal amount of water...
I hate the way it looks. I'm pretty sure a quick spraybomb is going to fix that quite nicely. With all due caution and care of course, I'd hate to see paint under this or more importantly the next filter gasket. For now you can't see it with the hood shut. I like the way it works however...
Crossing safety chains is a big plus for most of the reasons listed, allowing tighter chains with more turning radius, catching the toungue (towbar) should it fall, guiding a flat towed vehicle behind the tow vehicle, preventing the entire "catch" of a fallen trailer toungue from landing on just...
Maybe I don't understand? Would it not be simpler to just increase your resolution by adding additional magnets? Two or four would not yield a satisfactory resolution? Ten might be a lot, but the math would be easy. I know that using multiple reflective tape segments works well for using my...
The tires ARE ILLEGAL to use. They're nearly all (if not all) marked "mobil home only" and nearly all (if not all) are also qualified as "one time use only". They're also very poor quality and very short lived anyway, pitching them is no loss.
The wheels are fine if you get a standard 14.5...
I dunno. I work with enough leo's in the course of any given week to know that the ones around here all laugh at people for putting radar/lazer proof plastic shields over their license plates. I know just enough about radar to be really, really confused for the parts that I don't know...
The extra room in the primary fuel filter is there on purpose, for water and big chunks to settle out. I don't know with the exact filter you just installed, but typically the spin on filters have a similar "dead space" at the bottom for collecting water and sediment. The oil filters aren't...
RE: PTO Gaskets
These come in two thicknesses (.010 and .025 if memory serves) to be mixed and matched until you stack up enough gaskets to get the gears backlashed correctly... It could be done but that's an awful lot of hammering on an awful thin and brittle gasket material... Any truck...
Starting the engine with it plugged in won't bother a heater any more than it'll bother your hot water heater when you take a shower with the water heater still turned on.
Really dumb question- You have absolutely verified (ohms check at least) that the heater elements are indeed dead? I...
Pretty well spiked with which one? Not the 911 I hope. Most people misuse that. Just a touch too much and it'll freeze up on it's own accord... Actually, any of them will cause problems if they're overconcentrated, just that the 911 will stop you dead in your tracks if you overdo it, the...
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Help M1008 and M1009
Civilian 6.2 and 6.5 motors do use a similar bracket on the starter, I'm not sure if it is identical. The Chevy garage can't find them, but we get them in a genuine GM package through the Workhorse dealer for the post office trucks.
There is no separate button. Most (I don't dare say all) of them have a white line showing what to do, it's on the switch body, not the buttons. I THINK it is the two high and four low button simultaneously from two high only. I may not have the procedure exact, I read it once a very long...
