I thought awhile back I noticed a wire to the diagnostic plug for a tach read in the tm manual. I remember wondering if it could be taped off that wire but I didn't look into it any farther.
Lift springs are almost always narrower than stock, they send you wider bushings with them for the spring eyelets. What block studs did you modify? On the steering arm?
A 6" lift on a chevy always requires driveshafts to be extended. It will require longer brake lines as you said and steering can be corrected by a longer pitman arm. With some kits that is included and in most cases if you buy a full spring kit the driveshaft angle will be corrected with shims...

I have the same thing going on in mine only both batts stay charged. I ordered another alt to replace the one side, my old one does not set the light off.
I don't need a repair shop, I need the parts. I can rebuild the gate but my parts are shot. I just don't want to rebuild a rusted out gate. I also have a good size dent in the back and just doesn't seem worth messing with. Are you related to any of the Pappas family in Owosso?
