    soft/hard doors

That door looks sharp! Definitely looking forward to more pics and build info.

    Identify headlight

Mr. Ted Gates provided them when I bought the light bar from him. The passenger side one is one of his custom ones to clear the snorkel.

    Identify headlight

TruckLite does make a non-heated version that is cheaper. They're dual 12/24 volt so they're easy to find. I'm watching my DVR'd episode of Xtreme Off-Road that aired yesterday and Ian is installing them in their Rock Auto LJ build right now in fact. :D I love mine! Way brighter than the...

    Turbo kit for a 6.2?

To be completely honest, I was never overly concerned about my fuel economy so I've never measured it. I don't think it has affected it a whole lot though as I still seem to fuel up at roughly the same intervals I was. You're probably more likely to see a bigger drop from getting on the go...

    4 man divider

Hummer Parts Guy PN 5938789 "BRACKET, CARGO FLOOR" It's bare aluminum so you'll have to prime and paint it. The rope gasket is PN 5939988 "SEAL, CARGO FLOOR [54.00]" but if you aren't going to mount your bracket to the floor, don't bother with that. Get some thicker, rubber weatherstripping...

    4 man divider

I used 5/16 aluminum nutserts on mine and I have my curtain on the outside of the divider. Put some silicone on the backs of the brackets before I screwed them in to help seal stuff up. If I'm running without the cargo cover, I find the backdraft that typically blows in helps push the curtain...

    Rear drive shaft rattle

Just curious, does it sound like this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dv8x3AfwhOU That's what mine does/did. Same t-case and shaft as you. It doesn't do it as bad anymore after alternating running some 2 stroke oil and Diesel Kleen every fill up through it for a while, which has smoothed out...

    soft/hard doors

I'm definitely interested in seeing build details. Half doors with soft windows are what I'd absolutely love to have on my truck but other projects on it come first. Good luck!

How To Repair HMMWV EESS S3

I think the S3 boxes are a lot newer than that. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than I knows when they first started showing up.

How To Repair HMMWV EESS S3

I'd be worried about dust intrusion in your case. That can bring it's own problems. I am a fan of neither water nor dust on electronics. :D Yeah, that's something I'm concerned about. Not enough room for the electronics to "breathe" or a plastic bag potentially melting if something in there...

How To Repair HMMWV EESS S3

Not having opened one up before, is there enough room inside to toss in a desiccant pack before sealing it up for good?

How To Repair HMMWV EESS S3

At work I have to service equipment with circuit boards that have been exposed to harsh environments. I've had pretty decent success resurrecting some boards by cleaning them with Caig DeoxIT, degreasing with alcohol, and then coating them with Chemtronics Konform to protect them going forward...

    Shift lever light replacement

I have. It's supposed to be a sealed unit. Mine wasn't so sealed any more and that could be your problem too. Take out the shifter assembly and it unbolts from the bottom of it. While you're at it might be a good idea to install some aluminum rivnuts to make future shifter removal a lot easier...

    Turbo kit for a 6.2?

If you're wanting to squeeze more power out of the 6.2, have you considered turning up the injection pump? I'm not going to post a link to the directions since when I post a link it goes into moderation queue, but do a Bing/Google search for "Turn Up the Fuel on a 6.2" and you should get a hit...

How to on soft door windows

Meguiar's PlastX worked great on mine. Really cleaned off a bunch of staining on them. You can find it just about anywhere. Walmart, O'Reilly, Advanced, and Auto Zone all have it.

    24 bolt wheels Help

After not getting any response in that 24 bolt torque spec thread, I got in touch with another SS member I know who has access to the up-to-date TM 9-2320-387-24-1 and he was kind enough to send me a PDF of the scanned section in question. Should have the info you need.

    24 Bolt torque specs?

Needed to resurrect this thread to see if anyone has an up to date PDF of the above referenced TM 9-2320-387-24-1 with the diagram of the recommended bolt tightening pattern for the E rated/paired 24 bolt wheels. My PDF only has the 12 bolt wheels and the update supplement PDF I found on here...

    hmmwv tachometer installation

Bought one of TNriverjet's tachs. He got it to me very quick! Thanks again! Just got around to installing it today after wrapping up some exhaust repairs. Instructions he included were simple, easy to follow, and worked great. https://www.youtube.com/embed/q16x7-QMVdE (The pyrometer on the...

    Monstaliner or anything better?

I'd put total prep work for all products in the neighborhood of 16 hours. About half of which was masking and prepping the initial surface (pressure washing, scuffing, acetone wipe) for the Lizard Skin Sound Control which has to go down first.

    Monstaliner or anything better?

I did Lizard Skin Sound Insulation, Lizard Skin Ceramic Insulation, and Monstaliner inside my truck. I decided I didn't want the factory insulation pads based on how much dirt and water I found my old ones holding when I got the truck. I don't mind dirt and mud inside the truck, I just didn't...
