    I love my '09!

I love mine too but it has way too many creature comforts(heat, automatic transmission, roof) so I am letting it go to make room in my drive way for a deuce and then work my way up (in cost not size) to an M38 or M38a1. At that point I will probably start to miss my little '09 and buy another...

    M1008 Safe Speed versus M1009

When I am on the expressway I like to run my 1009 at about 60. I know it will go faster but it makes quite the difference in fuel economy. If you run it at 60 you will never have to fill the tank!

    This has some real possibilities.....

I love it! The only problem is if they ever built a full sized one those rolling landings may be a little more nauseating than "easy". It could make commercial air travel a little more interesting though and maybe the pilots would stop falling asleep in the cockpit if they were flying something...

    M38 Build in photos

She is looking good. Rust and jeeps just seem to go hand in hand. I would kill for your garage and tools there.

Has anyone here put a 454 in a CUCV?

you are going to have to take out a second mortgage for the gas. My uncle has a '72 stingray with a 454 and that thing won't break 10mpg if it is rolling down a hill with a strong tail wind.

May buy a 86 M1009 tomorrow and need help

Be weary of the 12v conversions. People usually don't do them right. I held out for one that still had the original 24v so I would not have to put up with the headache of fixing the mess someone else made.

    Sitting/ Storage Time

I had a CJ7 sit for 7 years without doing anything. just charged the battery and she fired right and ran like it had just been parked that day. God bless cars without computers.
