I'm a factory rep for PEI-Genesis (www.peigenesis.com) - sell MS connectors from Amphenol & ITT Cannon - what are the p/n's on your connectors?

Back when I sold reman diesel engines, I had always heard technicians (them guys what used to be called 'mechanics') refer to CAT 3208's as the 'throw-away' or disposable motor...
Is 'good-running 3208' an oxymoron?

Great job Karl!
I can agree with the 'something different' sentiment - my Army M37 is going to be painted Haze Gray with possible Seabee logo's... Garbee's 'fleet' down here is lacking a Navy truck -

They are a pair of PVI-Alpha tubs from Protected Vehicles... this looks like what I see when I go to their facility regularly - Note the lifting eye locations on the tubs vs. the Alpha photo. Also note the mounting hole locations of the armor plate system vs. the bosses on the tub...

Cracking 6.2 blocks
I know that when I was selling remanufactured running complete 6.5 GM diesels, we had to scrap @ 80-85% of the blocks & use new castings...
That being said, the 6.2's tended to be better on longevity -
Also, I understood that the main cap bolts were switched from 12mm to...
Actually, to dispel a lot of rumor mongering out there, I found out & saw firsthand that they are NOT MUTT's whatsoever... More like "MUTT 2.0" or "son of MUTT" -
The suspension is air-ride, with ability to increase/decrease ride height, coil-over spring/shock arrangements, modern high-perf...
I've ridden in Cabell's truck... it rocks! And sounds like a real truck now with the diesel in it - just wear hearing protection -
Now, if I could just get the bits we need to do the 6.2 swap in my truck, we'd get to see what the mpg will look like with a 5 speed, stock diff gearing, 1100x16's...
In the civilian version they are using the Ford 2.3 industrial motor adapted to the 151 transmission.
The diesel, IIRC, is an MWM unit - http://www.motoresdiesel.com.au/Sprint%20Technical%20Data.pdf
It's a 4 cylinder turbocharged unit, possibly the Sprint series...
I'd love to supply photos, but something called a "Non-Disclosure Agreement" & security prevents me from taking and posting photos...

Neat to see all the old & used spare parts in the facility & also see the new & improved 'sons of Mutt' that they are building for the V22 Osprey program -

Re: RE: M37 Gear change
Wow - it won't do better than 10 MPH... is the parking brake on?
Yep, I know you meant 10 MPG - you're not encouraging me to run my 230 at all - :D

The truck looks great! And as for the mod'd Hummer wheels, I had considered going this route as well over concern about the longer-term availability of 11.00x16's - will probably just bite the bullet & go with the 11.00's & worry about the future when it gets here...
FWIW - I had also...
From the random bullet contact pattern on the tank, it looks as though the French were shooting over their shoulders while running away... rofl
