Mine is a steady noise all the time. If you put your hand on the return line you can feel it and if you crawl under the truck you can hear the noise all along the return line but not on the supply line from the in tank pump. Its probably nothing, just wanted to ask.
I've searched around and couldn't find anything on this. With the LDT running the fuel return line makes a pulsating vibrating noise that you can hear if you stand near the tank. Everything runs fine, does this noise seem normal, does anyone else have this?
So Behr is listed, how about Benjamin Moore? I think Benny is superior to the Home Depot or Lowes brands Yes/No?
Did Benny also stop with the oil base for exterior? They used to have a great flow when brushing.
I've called Saturn and some others and they don't have anything to repair these. There are different types of material used over the years right? I've seen some that look to have a sheen and like the one I have is a sort of rubberized canvas, not straight duck canvas which would be easy to repair.
I was wondering if you could glue a patch like Rosco said and then maybe hand stich it with something like sail thread and then seal the thread with the same glue? I think the problem would be where and what material to use, I have a cargo cover that is missing one of the bungee tabs but I...
Unforgiven, mine has the same problem. I think it is most likely due to to troops mashing in the handle to idle the engine down. Which in my opinion will grind down the catching teeth, so now some of us have handles that don't stay out (vice grips?) I think the only option would be to replace...
So there fore DON'T install that drain plug all the time. Thats what I am getting from all this discussion. This is probably the whole reason. Thank you MSeries for putting it all together.
My other question is that if oil is some how introduced into the bellhousing, would that allow oil to get onto the clutch and cause the clutch to slip? Esp. if you had a rear main seal leak and all the plugs in the bottom of the bellhousing?
MSeries, you beat me to the clutch issue.
So to add to the venting issue :). (get it?)
I've read that the fuel tank and the brake master cylinder are designed to vent into the valve cover vent tube.
My question, why are they usually disconnected and just left venting inside the engine compartment?
Also why is the valve cover vent...
Wooooohooooo, thanks "Search Police"!, I found it. Didn't want to start a war, just got caught up reading this thread and hadn't a clue where to look so I asked.[thumbzup]
What size plates were you thinking of using for your brackets. I'm not sure about 1/4", but 1/2" would be rediculous.
I was just asking if you would use tubing or solid because of what you and others had said about the pros and cons of solid vs. tubing.
What I ment about fancy math is that this...
Check out OK Offroad, they have a couple of units that take 24 volts and make 12 volts without the need for another battery if you don't want but I did. Do a search in here for another post that I explained this a little more.:jumpin:
There is a manual locking hub kit for these axles but its $. That should reduce wear on the front drive train and help steering a little but it sounds like you have a more serious problem. Sorry I can't help any more than that. I'm curious to see what others here have to suggest.
I wanted to start a thread for deuce owners to be able to understand their trucks better by asking what certain odds and ends are for. Maybe this could be a place to help newb's and experienced owners alike ask the seemingly dumb or quick questions.
Does anyone know what these two holes in...
Clinton, I have a couple of questions for you.
What happens to the drive shaft lengths when the axles are moved like you said in the front? With the move forward and drive flexing is there enough spline to make this up?
The pics. of the front show the four link susp. with a stabilizer...
I guess with the use of those brackets I could call it the "Tow your house off its foundation removable deuce receiver".
(Mel Gibson "Lethal Weapon" movie!)
