I was hoping to grab a deuce tanker, but they are way beyond my financial reach. Plus, I am wondering if I really require a tanker that big. M37’s are really starting to grow on me and I am thinking I would rather have a M37 based tanker, if possible. Any ideas?

What is thier displacement? Has any one tried to locate stronger internals? Has any one tried any internal or external performance mods?

I have a 5.9 waiting for a swap. But I want to stay with a multifuel for this project.

There you go, that is where I have gotten most of my turbo experiance. I think a bigger turbo would really help these engines breath a lot better.

I know these engines are detuned a bit. But from what I know about turbos, they are meant to be a power adder and if used correctly will make a huge difference. But that is from a different stand point for. My experiance comes from trying to draw big power from other applications.

That is the worse vehicle to ride in when you have to pee.

Speaking of turbos, that brings up some questions. How big of a turbo can I go on one of these engines with out blowing the head off? I am thinking about upgrading to a little larger wastgated ball bearing turbo. ALso, who makes the turbos on these engines and what size are they?

Very true. I can add a turbo to almost anything. As a matter of fact, I have a set of twins planned for my Powerstroke. :-D

Thank you for clarifing. Why woulf the five tons not have turbos in them. I would think if iether truck needed a power adder it would be the five ton. Is there is a displacement difference between the two? If there is, I do not need one from five ton. It it powered a deuce, that is all I need...

That was one question I had. What is the difference in the five ton engines and the deuces? Also, what does LDS and LDT stand for?

I thought about a 6.5 swap as well. I really like those engines. But one of the main reasons I want a deuce is for the multi fuel engine. I wish I could jump on one now. But all our money is tied up in several deuces we bought recently. Plus, I prefer there not be another project truck...

If I have to biuld a dog house anyway, why go through the hassle of fitting the cab to a different frame?

That truck is way too nice. I would not part out a truck like that. I would however drive the hell out of it though.
