I was searching on the Dallas craigslist this past weekend not searching for anything in particular, just as long as it was OD or desert tan. And to my surprise there it was a S250 comm shelter. It had what I thought was a very good price. I didn't really need one but I just couldn't pass it up...
I bought a civy retrofit from wolverine tech. They give a Ss discount if you mention it. They even threw in a rebuild kit free of charge. Install was a breeze.
I don't have much trouble cutting up a newer truck, when I used to be into customizing.

If you have trouble at napa finding secondary gaskets, have them search "FIL 5070". That's what I did and it pulled right up. It's funny I can find it on my phone but they have trouble.
Thanks Angus for the quick response. The napa I went to couldn't find it. I looked it up on my iPhone while I was there and found two spark plugs a battery and the gasket. In order for them to pull it up on her computer she had to put in "FIL 5070" and it pulled right up. Thanks again for the help.
Need help finding the napa part # for the secondary filter gaskets. The # I have is 5070, got it from Idaho motor pool. When I call napa with the # they don't show it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I used to be into custom mini trucks And the show circuit. I see alot of things that could be crossed over to your build but on a bigger scale. I will look at my a2 and see if any of the knobs on the dash or window cranks can be made out of billet aluminum if I can I'll make some and donate it...
Here is an idea. Build a flush mount bed cover out of maybe a combination of plywood and aluminum. Use it as a slab for an airbrushed mural of the trucks dedication to seal team six. You could hinge it sideways using gas shocks to hold it up so spectators at shows could see it. Maybe a carpet...
