My bed doesnt have the shelter carrier brackets in it either

Joe I have the regular data plate showing it as a m1028 9200 gvw. Then there is a second plate below it stating it was upgraded to an m1028a1 9400 gvw. My question is What was done to it to be upgraded & 200 # added to the gvw ? Was it nothing more than adding a bed ? Thanks in advance...

Can someone tell me what was done to the m1028s to upgrade from 9200# to 9400# capacity ?

I visited his place 6 or 7 years ago. He was down to engine & brake parts then. He did get rid of a lot frames & sheet metal 10-12 years ago.
