A friend on mine built this camper trailer from a military generator trailer to tow behind his Deuce. He has a sleeper mounted on the truck, and the rest of the truck holds all the gear. The generator trailer has a stand built up about 20" from the floor. He then took an Apache pop-up camp...
It would be wrong of me not to chime in on this thread. After all, I really am an RV/MV Camper. I know you have seen it before, here it is again. Pics, are a bit out dated, but it's the thought that count......Right! :-)
I think I would question your friend. I lost a trans in my Deuce, had to pay $50 for a new rebuilt one in the box from that same government. Took me and a friend to change out in an evening. Oh......the pain. They are about as simple as a model "A".
Consider, if they were so unrelable...
I have never seen a brake fail like that, much less twice the same way. I will an eye out for any sign of a like. Glade there was no damage or hurt. Thanks for the good pics guys and your info post.
I believe in Prep. One of the reasons I have the Deuce is I feel it is one of the best vehicles for that reason. Also I have always wanted one. I believe that bad things can happen, and most likely will happen sometime. I want to be ready if it does. If I am wrong, Oh ****, all I ended...
For my deuce project, I would have given anything to have had a drop side! Have even considered a change over some time in the future, who knows. I think they are cool, but did not know about the tailgate issue. Still, I could live with that.
