One aircraft? Seems like a VERY tempting target for SAM or Air to Air missiles! Terrible loss of life and material!! Hard to protect that asset. Great for speed, but would have to stay out of "harms way"....................my two cents
Wasn't the "goblin" supposed to be possibly recovered in flight? (ugly bird!) THANKS CHAPPY!
OBVIOUSLY!!, I should have watched the video BEFORE commenting!! UGH!!
LOL
Chappy,
I didn't have train tracks around when young. First real experience? Train ride to Florida for family funeral with my Mom. Not a lot of fun. Second? Rail-head at Ft. Hood............again, not much fun.
I appreciate ALL the stories................. no one EVER said adventure...
Wonder if it was a "company life" he about surrendered....
Train ALWAYS has precedence.......in those collisions, no one "wins"....
Great thread and constant safety reminder.....
Welcome aboard from Central Illinois! Your attitude towards the forum requires appreciation! God did give us TWO ears and only ONE mouth...................join in though..................ask and learn...............TONS of info here and even more good people!!
Chains would help. They have open differentials. Lockers are an option that is available. I wouldn't use stock tires unless great tread and were aired down, without chains. No stock power steering. Would suggest weight in the bed. Bobbed would improve turn radius, loose a drive axle...
Thanks, but no thanks.....
Got enough headaches. Don't need to order more. Talk is cheap. Put up or shut-up is a saying I'm used to.
Hope ya get the mess squared away. Spent time at Hood myself. "First Team"..................
Honestly, it shouldn't be that friggin hard. BUT...
Have a crossing several miles away, through the valley, can hear the horn and sound of the train. As another mentioned, "Train wins" and everyone loses. Can't imagine the lbs of kinetic energy let alone the sheer mass. Hmmmm
