For my next trick, I need some help from the audience. I am trying to remember where this cable goes. It appears to have had a star washer holding it in place which leads me to the bus bars but I cannot remember where it goes. Please assist.

Based on your original post, it sounds to me that without the opposing pull of the passenger side alternator that the water pump shaft is getting pulled toward the drivers side causing the belts to slip. Your original idea of moving the drivers side alternator and wiring to the passenger side...

I did some looking in the -34P. Found this, seems you can make item 16 from steel tubing and item 14 if you are handy bending tubing and using a flaring tool.
