The guy was refueling his truck and smoking. We got it out before the bottle cooked off.
On my M936 I have to move the transfer case lever up and down a little to find just the right spot to get the pto to go in.
I think the wrecker transfer cases have been used a lot and have a lot of slop in them.
The truck has a Tractor protection valve on the frame. Try to test the valve, leave the red hose stored on your truck and then push in the dash valve.
The dash valve should say in, if not the valve maybe bad. Or the TPV maybe bad or the air supply to the valves.
I remove the plugs then just pump the grease in then replace the plugs.
Or you can install a zerk and then when your done replace the zerk with the plug.
You need to remove the two plugs not just one due to letting the air out when you
pump the grease in.

You will need to take the wheel apart and clean it up (painting will be needed) and replace the o-ring.
When you take one of these wheels apart they are always rusty. Also always replace the o-ring when you take the wheel apart.
I put a NOS cab on a Deuce and I think it was for a A3. The only thing I had to do was punch out the holes for the clutch and brake pedal and use them to fill the holes from the pallet mount bolt holes.
The mounting holes for the bright light switch were 90 degrees off from a A2 cab, I just...
