I bid on the other truck, stopped at $4500, I really wanted it but 1700 miles from home, plus tax and premium put it out of budget. Bought the one in Mechanicsburg instead. Good luck with it, I am waiting for the euc as well from the same auction.
I agree, they look like they are 12" or so too tall, I am willing to bet the cover will be short. Perhaps they are not fully seated or need to be shortened.
Frank, as you can guess the kit arrived today, thanks! Another anomoly in the deuce saga,I have contacted westfolk for the bracket, if you need a copy let me know. Thanks again Frank! :D
Just got my NOS M35 heater kit and I noticed two things.
1. No "HI-OFF-LOW plate for the switch, and not listed in the contents sheet.
2. The two brackets that bolt to the fender and frame to support the blower/core in the engine compartment on the left fender are not included or listed.
Are...
I have a kit on the way, should be here Wednesday and it has the instructions with it. I tried to find them in advance in the TM but when I found the section on the heater it said to use the instructions that come with the kit! I can make you a copy and mail them or try and scan them and post...
You can look for a tag as well, oaktag with a string attached, green=unserviceable(repairable)DDform 1577-2 or yellow=serviceable tag DDform 1574 and red tag ,don't have one in front of me but thats unrepairable. I have seen engines alot with the green tag and that means that they can be fixed...
I just got my kit from quick start yesterday. It comes complete with all parts needed and even includes items to plug off the old flame heater items. I talked with the rep at Quick Start about the kit, she said they supplied them to the government several years ago. The kit is designed to...

My auction event 2621 ended 28 November, awarded property 29 November, faxed EUC 29 November, got an e-mail today from Tiffany requesting two revisions, same as mentioned above, section II 1A write in "for intended use" and section II 1C check the box and remove" not applicable". I faxed and...
Top left of the glove box there is what looks like a new data plate placed over the old one. I have seen this in a few other aution pictures. This is on the truck I just secured from a GL auction. Is this a MWO plate or perhaps a rebuild info plate? Thanks for the help.
Thanks for all the replys! I live in Machias, I am about 4hours north east of Portland. I was hoping to get it at a better price but since the description mentioned running engine, transmission I figured the price would bump up. The one I really wanted was in Minnesota but it went above $4500...
Well, only minutes ago I got my first deuce. Its a gov liquidation unit hot of the auction block as of today. Mechanicsburg, PA, if anyone is close by perhaps I could enlist some help when its time to pick it up. I will be driving it(hopefully)back to Maine, 700+ miles. I have driven a...
I see there is a kit called a air transfer lock kit, I assume this is the air shift for the front axel.
1. How do you tell if this kit will work on your truck?
2. Can you use lock out hubs with a non air shift transfer?
thanks
I live in Maine so I was hoping to find someone near Mechanicsburg to look at one for me. I know I am crazy thinking I can drive it back but thats my plan. No titles required here for +10 years old so regisration is not an issue. Any help would be appreciated.
