I stopped at Red Rock Canyon on my way back from this trip last year. Nice place...Little out of the way but nice...Knowing more now, I probably would stop at pipeline since its a little closer and I dont really need formal campgrounds;-)
My road trip consisted of Santa Maria to Stoddard Valley...

Just mentioned to my buddy about doing that trip again....Much longer timeframe this time though. Glad to see a new thread, Last years "Camp Dirtbag III" SoCal Fall desert trip thread was getting too long to read!!!

He ran 17 PSI front 45 PSI rears....I have taken mine out on the dunes running low pressure, its fun but I still have this fear of sticking a 13K vehicle in the sand...

Thats why I said dont tell them the weight until after the vin verification.
You can take their VV paperwork to the DMV and they will honor it. That is what I did because they did not realize the weight until the very end of the process. All the paper work was done but not entered...

In fact....I built my Duece specifically to tow my bronco there to camp....didnt finish it in time....
Better get to Pismo before they close that one too.!!!!
Hmm...17-21 june..I wont be able to make that because of work schedule. Bummer!!!
Im thinking mabye weekend after 4th of July? sometime in that timeframe?
