what doghead says could be true in ur case.......it was with me.......when my buddy disassembled to check it...it still had cobwebs in it......and it was supposedly rebuilt........so it would hurt to recheck it......

i had that same problem....it was the 30amp fuse........mine went the first time..i was driving.......all of a sudden..no lights......thank god..i had a flash light..and plenty of fuses onhand......

i just had a 10a fuse blow......i replaced that........

as i recall when i first got my truck....that fuse would sometimes work loose.......i finally replaced all the fuses with fresh new ones..........and i keep extras on hand in the truck......good luck with ur truck....

i would do that doghead mod first............this way u avoid burning up all ur hardearned cash that uve sunk into ur trucks wiring....
