Your source was right. The Marines did release a few several years ago. It is highly unlikely you'll ever see any more released from the government whole.
Is there a way to extend the 90 window for the classifieds only? The springs are still for sale so I don't want the add deleted but if they do sell I'll have to get Ron to delete it for me. It really makes me no difference but the rules state that the add needs to be deleted as soon as the item...
I was one of them. There was no "edit" button or "administration" button or anything available in the first post. I've got active adds right now that I can't delete. The items are still for sale so I don't want them deleted but I've looked to see if I could and I can't.
The adds I've placed...
Did you speak to the Nashville automotive store? I have in the past and when I mentioned CARC they didn't know what I was talking about. I first talked to the industrial store and they told me to call the automotive store. When I called the automotive store they told me to call the industrial...
You should be able to get to them. If the shaft was assembled right, you will be able to turn it and all the fittings will face down at the same time. Put the trans and t-case both in neutral and you can spin the shaft by hand.
I've seen some grease gun ends (I don't know the proper term) that...
If you look around you can find a 205 for a couple of hundred bucks. Some people think they are worth gold and they may be selling them at those prices but they can be found much cheaper. Personally, I wouldn't give over $300 for a 205.
The last 205 I picked up was a divorced model I picked up...
Ron, I agree that you won't find out how to "split shift" in the TMs. It does help that they put syncros in the t-case though which lends itself to a pretty smooth split shift.
I split shift all the time and don't think it hurts a thing if done properly and not forced into gear when things...
Kubota and Perkins both have several good engines that will fit in a CJ5. Personally, I'd go with a Perkins. Those little engines are everywhere, are dirt cheap, and the parts are dirt cheap.
You're not going to like the starting on 12v. I have to ask, why?
I'm not familiar with the truck in question but I'd say that clicking you hear is a 24v relay trying to operate on 12v.
As I said in a previous post, a stock A3 winch setup won't work with a stock A2 radiator. Also, A3 parts are kind of scarce and are expensive.
If you want a hyd winch, I'd think it would be easier to use the A3 setup as a guide but source all the parts aftermarket. If you have any welding...
As juanprado has said, about any name brand tube grease will work fine. I personally use NAPA wheel bearing and chassis grease. Mainly just because I'm in NAPA several times a week and it's handy.
There are two main reasons I don't have a heater in my deuce. 1) If mounted in the stock location it makes it a pain to service that side of the engine and most of the service items are on that side (fuel filters, oil filters, IP). 2) I haven't took the time to make up a in-cab install.
You can search just the classifieds in the advanced search. It gives you the option to just search a specific forum. At least you could on the old site, I haven't checked the new site but I think the search works the same.
I've got a set of seals listed in the classifieds.
I usually make the gaskets myself out of gasket material that can be had at any auto parts store. I'm sure some of the major suppliers would have them but I can make them cheaper than I can have them shipped.
Probably the best way to find the...
Corey, the circuit breaker is in the first pic. You have the breaker, low/high/off switch, and resistor.
The breaker was mounted on the firewall in the engine compartment as Jonathan posted. The resistor was also mounted on the firewall but on the inside of the cab. The other loose wire goes to...
Has anybody uploaded a pic yet? I pulled up pics when I clicked "manage attachments" that I didn't even know I had on my computer. I finally figured it out but it sure is different.
Like others, I don't handle change well but I'll get used to it and try not to complain.
