Its easy to take off(looks like its been off before, missing a clamp for the trans lines). check your flywheel teeth for missing or damage teeth also.

    Leak help, please. Tranny?

You could take the bellhousing cover off and clean the area real good. Then start the truck and see where the leak is coming from. Also check the little rubber fuel lines at the injectors(next to the glow plugs) somethine they get a small hole in them.

    Leak help, please. Tranny?

If it looks like diesel fuel you may want to to check to see if your injector pump is leaking. look under the air cleaner(top of engine) for any leaks. Somethimes fuel will collect their and run down the back of the engine.

    A3

aboonski, I pulled some info from the M44A3's TM on the tack. The one in the book shows a harness connector to the back of the tack. I don't see where it would hook up to the tack that you have. I could be wrong, But you got a great deal on the price if it will work for you. See attached pictures.

Anyone Towing With a 6.2 Diesel?

Everything is stock: 4:56 gears, 235/85/16 tires, TH400 trans, NP205 transfer. I put in a new injection pump/lift pump/fuel filter housing about 60,000 miles ago.(old inj pump was leaking) after the new pump was in, it was like driving a new truck. Had alot more power. I get about 14 mpg...

Starter install... what do I need to know?

Someone had said before you can get a new bracket from the GM parts dept. You may need to lift the front of the truck (bumper, not axle) so the front axle hangs a little to get the starter out and the new one in.;-) The hardest thing is finding the small nut that you drop that hooks the...
