    loading Jeep in the bed of a deuce?

    I had a good welder make me a set of 12' ramps, he put a leg in the middle so that the ramps won't flex too far when the weight is on them. I haven't used them yet but I think I'll winch the jeep up the first time. I also had him make a short set to run from my trailer to the deuce.

    M1009 as a daily driver

    RE: cool... I try to drive mine between 60 and 65. When I go over 65 fuel consumption goes up and I want to keep the MPG over 20.

    My turn signals have gone out twice now. 1st time it was the flasher. Last week it was the switch. I think I need to be more careful/diligent about turning them off. They seem to get hot pretty fast.

    M1008 Fuel Mileage (vs 1009)

    I just got my M1009 last spring from a wildlife refuge. I took it on a trip up to Seattle from just south of Portland hauled about 400lbs back, got stuck in some traffic but ran 90% freeway. Got exactly 20mph. Its all stock. The speedo was right on with the speedo checks.

    How loing will these things run

    Good Maintenance is crucial, but a little luck doesn't hurt either. I have one with 2500 miles on it. The compensator might be leaking diesel back into the crankcase, because I detected a diesel oder when I changed oil. But the oil pressure is very good.

    Looked like the front winch was missing but maybe it was just the picture. They sure use low res pictures. Didn't seem like a bad price if rust wasn't bad. Did they tell you?
