After the EUC gets sent to Battle Creek GL has no control over how long it takes at Battle Creek. Please don't keep calling and "hounding" GL while the EUC is at Battle Creek. It ties up the phone lines for people trying to get ahold of GL that have a problem that GL has control of. ;-)
BOT is right. I've shortened and lengthened frames on trucks that haul alot more weight than a deuce without problems. Just cut the frame behind the cab, take out what you don't want, and weld it back together. Any welder worth his salt can weld it where it won't break. This is fairly common...
You could be onto something. There is no doubt GL has access to the bid amounts. If I was going to screw with the bids that's how I would do it.
I do use autobid about every time I bid. I hate the "bid wars" you get into with people when each of you bump in one at a time. There are srategic...
:ditto:
If it takes over a week for your EUC status to change to "sent to Battle Creek" you really should either call them or talk to live chat to make sure they got it. Remember, you only have 10 days to get the EUC in.
I've sent in EUCs several times only to talk to them in live chat and...
True, but I'd still stay away from posting stuff like this. Anything that could possibly keep the auction prices can get you into trouble if you're not careful. The term "beat to snot" could be open for interpretation.
I don't think this is the case but somebody could say that about trucks...
I'm going to try and take the lead on getting a few of us on the show.
Please PM me if you'd be interested in meeting up with Ian and what kind of MV you could bring.
I've got Ian's contact info so I figure this may be easier on him if I came up with a list so he won't be overwhelmed with PMs.
It won't help. After it goes to Battle Creek it is out of your hands (and GL's). The only thing you can do is wait and hope they don't go over 90 days.
It's open to the public. Some of the manuals are restricted but all of the M35A3 manuals are open to the public. Just agree to all the warnings and then click "enter the site". After that type "M35A3" in the box that says "pub title text". It will bring up all the M35A3 manuals.
I've got it...
Go here https://www.logsa.army.mil/etms/online.htm .
It's got all the M35A3 manuals. They are not paper but they are free. Just do a search for "M35A3" and it will bring them up.
You'll more than likely get a couple of warnings when trying to enter the site but don't worry, it's safe.
Dito to what everbody else has said.
While I'm sure you could come-a-long a deuce onto a trailer, It's not going to be easy. It's going to be some hard pulling getting that thing up the ramps.
I wouldn't use the break-away controller as a parking brake for any length of time. It will finally drain the battery in the controller and the trailer will roll away.
I deal with trucking on almost a daily basis. There's one thing about dispatchers and brokers, alot of them lie. Sometimes they will quote a load and agree to haul it before they even have a truck to haul it. They will tell you it's taken care of then they will try and find a truck to haul it...
If you decide to go electric Just don't expect (even a 15K electric) it to be as strong as the stock setup.
Looks like you're planning on spending a bunch of money on the truck anyway so why not go ahead and buy one with winch?
Some people will argue that some brand LDT engines are better than others but they are all made exactly the same. You can interchange parts from one brand to the next.
There are three different turbos. One was ony used on the LDS 427. The other two are used on the LDT 465. One is a "C" which...
While the expanded metal was an upgrade that did come about in later years, I've seen them on all the brands. I had a '52 studebaker that had the expanded metal grill (granted, it didn't come from the factory that way).
