Too old. The oldest vehicle must have still been in service in some form or another in 1971 but it also depended on where the vehicle served at if it got into the database. It's hit or miss up to the mid to late 80's but almost everything since then.

Yep that's a 901. They are out of the inventory and this one is probably heading for a museum or demil. I don't even think they are selling much in the way of FMS.
Please post some pictures. I'm looking at the LINE-X thing for mine also but timing is my issue. I maybe using a vo-tech center to rebuild my truck and don't see the purpose in line-x'ing it before doing the rebuild.

Post the vin and it might show up with a unit or we might be able to determine the service. Search for and use the vin info thread to do this, not here.
Did the truck actually say military police or just had this equipment on it? We had 2 CUCV's outfitted with light bar, strobe, and a red and a yellow light bar for certain escort duties. Last time I checked, one of those trucks is still pulling escort duty and the other went to DRMO. I think...

Correct. The SN and VIN are the 0532-xxxxxx . The registration number is akin to the military license plate number. It is normally permanent but in some situations it can change--extremely rare but possible. The VIN/SN is the only one...
