There's enough residual oil in the bearings that a few cranks isn't going no cause detectable harm. Thing is, they'll run them with no oil in them also. Ask me how I know......

Yeah, it's 1/0. But there's certainly no harm going heavier. I used 3/0 for my pickup. I have 2/0 and 4/0 new that I'll sell for less than current market if you end up needing cable.
