I only got the 383 green (34094) to start out with to see how it worked.
I'll upload the sticker here a bit later when I get the second sticker from home depot so you can choose HD if you don't have a PPG store near you.
As for the paint gun... they're not cheap... but my god do they throw...
I got finished painting around dusk. For sure didn't cure enough.
PPG permanizer - a longer lasting more UV stable paint. Still an acrylic latex like Behr 4300.
Flatness is good. I think it'll be a good replacement for Behr.
I may have also over diluted it.... I used 16oz water because it...
So.... Looks like dew point dropped. Came out in the morning the the entire truck covered in dew. The paint didn't make it. Huge streaks down the side....roof is pretty much bare....big spots on hood....
All that prep and work for naught. I'm pissed.
Don't think it's the paint's fault but...
Slight update on the PPG.
1. They 'found' the code in their system, but the code is only valid on certain product lines - they can't use any code on any product lines, and the only product lines that the code is eligible for is a marine grade epoxy. This is to prevent people from doing stupid...
Just an FYI - Federal Standard 595 was deprecated as of 14 Feb 2017. It was replaced with AMS-STD-595.
I'm currently working with PPG and testing their Permanizer - which is a much more color stable and more robust paint than Behr Premium Plus (4300) with only minimal increased cost (~$70 per...
Optima's are garbage - they went to #%(& over a decade ago when they were bought out by JCI - JCI is usually a very good manufacturer of batteries but they moved production to Mexico and they've been #%(& ever since. Quality control has decreased substantially. Gone are the 10+ year service life...

Looks to be steel framing with foam sandwiched between FRP inside/out. with an aluminum floor. I can grab pics later.
The second one in the list that says 'SOLD!' is the one I bought. They had another 5-6 there and what was about a month ago. I'd call them and ask if you're really interested...
I ended up buying a reefer with a non-functioning cooling unit. Gonna add a mini-split, solar, and add'l lighting. Already has 3+ inches of closed cell foam insulation on all 6 sides.
There's a company up in WA that has 16' boxes for ~$1500..
I found mine on FB marketplace searching 'reefer'
Not sure where this fits - not exactly a TM but good info for those that want it. Outlines the FMTV program and compares it to M939 and M44 series trucks.
So, I needed a set of 395s and it was cheaper to buy a trailer with the tires (local) than it was to buy/ship and then pay someone to mount the tires (time issue).
So, I picked this up.
These look like standard FMTV wheels. So, they should be a direct bolt on to an M939A2, correct?
I already have gas masks, filters,, etc that will do much better than just a simple dust filter.
The positive pressure system add-ons for them are like $50. Thanks to Israel handing them out to their citizens like candy in the event of a chemical attack, they're readily available.
The particle...
Maryland doesn't actually care about the law, or anything other than whatever policy they can make up on the spot.
They don't want those evil scary assault trucks on the road, despite them being exempt from FMVSS.
'We don't register tactical vehicles'
To add:
They always pull up...
Already accounted for. I plan on multiple vents. The venting system will have both fan driven (through an air exchanger) and through filtration - I was hoping to have multiple smaller vents that are less visible, and fed via 2" or so PCV with bends so light doesn't escape. The air filtering...
So... You know I like to overanalyze things. I need input.
I originally got an M934 but realized the length was a limitation and the way the body expanded was virtually useless for planning purposes. I sold it.
I figured I'd get a deuce (And I did) then realized that due to parts availability...
