CAT 3116 Front housing - will part # 7E3864 fit in place of part # 7E6366 ?
The "standard" front housing part number is 7E6366. I recently found a used housing (part # 7E3864) that *looks* very similar. (from pics online) The bolt pattern appears to be the same. Does anyone have any idea if both parts are interchangeable? Thank you in advance for your help! -
Anyone have a broken Cat 3116 Front Timing Cover? (needs to be repairable)
Hello - My M1081 has the cracked timing cover issue and is leaking oil. I prefer to TIG weld repair a broken cover so that I can (in theory) bulk up the weak areas and then replace the broken cover in a timely manner (versus waiting to repair mine etc)... So does anyone have a timing plate... -
Alternate sounds coming through the air brake buzzer on my M1081.
A few times I have heard some tones etc in addition to the standard wailing of the low air pressure buzzer sound. I'm thinking that this is either by design or corrosion or something through the circuit. Sounds too good to be just a random error though. I am not currently taking any...
