I have a Model J26 here in the UK.
It was made under license to Jeep and is based on their CJ3/5B.
I am trying to find which other gearbox/s have the same internal parts as my KM141 4 speed column change unit.
As these Jeeps were only supposed to have been made for the Japanese Home Defense...
My 1975 J26 has a KM141 4 speed box.
It is getting difficult to shift down into 2nd so I am assuming that the synchromesh gears need replacing.
I hevn't looked inside the box so don't yet know if anything else needs to be done.

My J26, built in 1975, is based on the CJ3-B (M909?) made under license to Jeep with a Mitsubishi petrol 2.6 ltr 4 cylinder 4G53 ASTRON engine and a KM141 4 speed gearbox with Hi/Lo and a Warn Overdrive fitted.
