Back around 50 or 60 years ago, I built a hardtop for my 37 by wrapping a softtop frame and bow with 12ga steel, using a sliding back window out of a Duece.
It was strong enough to serve as a roll bar without significant damage when I rolled the truck (which I did more than once).
But it was so...
I'm still here.
Still got my M37 and XM708.
After 60+ years, I'm thinking it may be time to refurb them and give them to my two grandkids.
And yeah, I know that left front tire on the 708 is mounted backwads 😀
I tend to like the tread design on the IROKs for sentimental reasons. They remind me of the old directional Firestone Super All-Tractions I used to run.
I'm having trouble deciding between the I-810 (13.5x39.5-16.5) and the I-815 (14x42-16.5).
Any thoughts about choice regarding clearance...
My brother is fixing to junk an old Chevy pickup that has a freshly overhauled 400 small block in it.
I'm thinking about pulling the 230 out of my 708 and doing a fully reversible installation of the 400. It would be an even easier install than the big block Chevy that I put in my 37. No...
When I built the steel top for my M37, I used the round cornered sliding rear window and frame from an M35.
I'd like to do the same for my XM708. Any suggestions on where to find one?
