One on the left side and one on the right side of the ring. So one was positive and one was negative. I'm going to replace all six with hopefully a better quality higher rating diode. Already on order. But good call thanks for looking out!

Thank you for this great information. I very much appreciate it. The guy I spoke to about the voltage regulator knows a lot about generators and said go with the higher voltage ones. The original ones were rated I think 30 amp 400 volt. So 6 or 1200 volts is great. Thank you very much bud!

Pete. You are right. I got voltage out of my c-pin. But my d-pin does not have continuity to ground either. I took out the solid state static Exciter from oshkosh. I put in a standard a11 static Exciter. Now my d-pin does have 24 volts when I am starting it. Still producing no voltage...

The D pin on the j9 connector is supposed to have 24 volts. That's what guy Fang told me. And Oshkosh drawings/ schematics. I'm not happy with oshkosh. But I trust guyfang. Where does the c-pin go after it leaves the exciter? A 5-1 or a 5-3?
