    Mep 804a won’t start

I'm a little late to the party, but I have a question. Did servicing and adjusting the MPU fix your generator's "run away" issue?

    Electric Priming Pump on MEP-804A

Thanks again. Didn't realize your "unplug the fault indicator" instruction was addressing that clicking issue. @Light in the Dark - looking for replacement gauges

    Electric Priming Pump on MEP-804A

Separate subject - replacement gauges. I need one (1) 88-21103 fuel gauge for a 5Kw and one 88-21104 oil pressure gauge for a 15Kw. Saw this posting for fuel gauges - https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/mep-fuel-gauge-fits-5-200kw-gensets-88-21103-beede-945331-6625-01-366-0193-70-ea.199406/...

    Electric Priming Pump on MEP-804A

Ok, did part of what you suggested. ( No, I haven't read through the entire TM.) I followed your process on both 804As of trying to get fuel up to the injectors to get the units started. I know there is fuel up to the injector pump on both. When I push to priming pump, I hear what sounds...

    Electric Priming Pump on MEP-804A

I don't know what the correct name for the switch that indicates which legs - L1, L2, L3 - are selected. No, I didn't reset the fault indicator.

    Electric Priming Pump on MEP-804A

No photos or video necessary. I must have been hearing things when I operated the switch. No pump noise in the prime position. I stand corrected, sir. Thanks. Now for another issue with the 804B. Runs great. Connected an ECU to it. During first test, everything seemed to run fine and...

    LMTV Smoke Test

All that CTIS info was background to let you guys know what I was doing at the time. The CTIS is working now. The point of the posting was in relation to the smoke coming from the dash.

    Electric Priming Pump on MEP-804A

I was finally able to circle back to working on our 15KW gen sets. We have two (2) 804As and one (1) 804B. One (1) each 804A and 804B are skid-mounted. The other 804A is skid mounted. When I start the two skid-mounted units, they both have an electric pump that you can hear running in the two...

    LMTV Smoke Test

2002 1078A1 Had CTIS issue - replaced pressure switch & CTIS module. while diagnosing that problem, I had 2 used modules and one new one, along with an old and new pressure switch. In trying to eliminate faulty part(s) I tried various combinations of old parts, new & old parts, and just new...

    LMTV Abs troubleshooting

Can't help or advise on the OP, but have a question. Have a 2002 1078A1 with the ABS indicator on. Had other issues as well. Fixed those, but still have this ABS issue. Don't have any diagnostic tools, but may see if the local Army Reserve guys will help in that respect. In the meantime, I...

    Are all good trucks gone?

More is better. UPDATE: Don't where you're looking, but there are only 5 listed on GSAXcess in Texas as of this morning.

    Are all good trucks gone?

When reviewing GSAXess earlier this week, there were over 100 HMMWVs listed in Texas alone. Two days later there were less than 20. Likely some government agency sucked them up, which would be strange since there are 1000s sitting at Red River Depot. We get our trucks through the Texas...

M998 Was Alive, But Now Is Dead

Glow plugs are getting voltage. On to checking fuel flow, cold start and fuel shutoff when I get a chance.

M998 Was Alive, But Now Is Dead

Glow plug voltage is ok, but I may check all of them again. Wait light acts normally. Typically, I would agree with you regarding the cold start circuit. I think I might go back and check some wiring connections to be sure a couple haven't been switched in all the commotion.

M998 Was Alive, But Now Is Dead

I don't have the level of authorization to post classifieds. Buying one of our HMMWVs can not be considered a donation in the eyes of the IRS, but the money does go to a good cause.

M998 Was Alive, But Now Is Dead

The whole process hasn't been too bad. It's just that when I was about to button everything up and move the truck to the compound, the starter flaked out on me and fried the PCB, which created other issues as well. Actually, with our surplus source for parts, we've got maybe $300-$400 in it. We...
