I ordered a EGT and boost gauge setup from Those Military Guys. Took me about 3 and a half weeks to get it but it is finally here. They don’t specify online that they are build to order so if you do get one it does take a little while. Overall I am really happy with the kit. It was pretty much...
How did you like the quality? What type of fitting did it come with to bolt the egt probe to the exhaust manifold? How long did it take to get? These were some of the questions I asked and really didn’t get an answer. Thank you.
I was looking into buying one of these kits from these guys but the description doesn’t say what you get and when I called the lady on the phone she was unsure of what the package comes with. Has anyone or does anyone know of some who purchased this?
Absolutely! I don’t live far at all. I have a Saylorsburg mailing address but live more towards effort. PM me if you want to set something up. I can’t figure out how to send one.
No. I am actually looking through the site now for ideas. I was hoping to find some gauge ideas as I want it to look like it belongs and not like I pulled it out of a race car.
I see this thread has been quiet for a while but I figured I would add to it. It’s good to see fellow military truck owners near by. I am also new to owning my MT and new to the site. I recently purchased a 1987 Harsco BMY M923A2 and living in Saylorsburg Pa.
Already thinking about it but first I need to turn the fuel screw back in a turn or 2. Now that I am getting more fuel pressure I am getting a lot of black smoke when I take off in first. Clears up pretty quick but I think it may be too much. My pump does not have the fuel plate. It has the full...
Just got done putting the new OFV back in. Took a little bit of work priming it but it finally turned over. Took it for a ride and definitely better throttle response and more power on the straights but not much difference on the hills.
I get where you are coming from willwagner but when I first picked up my truck it ran but was very weak on power. Since then I replaced all the fuel filters and fuel lines and cleaned everything up. I did see a difference in performance and power but still struggled starting off the line and...
Thanks for the info. I will try it when I get home from work tonight. I really want to adjust the gov springs but I am still a bit nervous. I know a little about turning wrenches which is enough to get me in trouble. Lol. This is why I am asking very basic rookie questions and getting overly...
I did not prime the system because I didn’t know it needed to be done. Only a little bit of fuel dribbled out so I didn’t think it needed to be done. I thought my problem was the different hole placement between the 2 parts. Then when I put the old one back in and it still didn’t start it really...
Well my new ofv020 came today and it’s not the same as the one in my truck. I tried it anyway and would not start. Here is the difference. Any idea of where to go from here?
Yeah. I went through all of that. I am a truck driver so I am no stranger to air brakes. As for the air filter and fuel system it has all been replaced. When I replaced all the fuel lines, up tube and filters I did see a difference in normal driving but it is still very sluggish on the uphills.
