At one point is was working fine. As far as charinging went. This just started recently. Now the regulator I replaced my old one with came off another unit we have in the motor pool that we dont use. So I knew it was a 50/50 chance If it worked or not. I went through all the wires yesterday made...
Ok so I belive the regulator is bad, so went went ahead and replaced it with another one i found at at work and I guess that one is bad too. Cause its still rising to 34 volts dc. I was testing the stator wrong and now I am getting 31 volts ac so I'm good there. The only thing left is to spend...
I'm not gonna lie. I just tested it and I'm not sure if it's good or bad. The Batts and regulator always read the same even at 34 volts dc. My stator on the other hand it only reading 16 volts ac on both wires. So I'm starting to think it's bad also.
Yea I found the ground strap this morning. So I took the box off. It was pretty ugly lookin. I had to cut one of the nuts off with a Dremel tool it was so rusted. Cleaned it all up put new nuts an bolt on it. And it works great. But now I see the system is over charging so i have to test the...
Ok FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT this whole time its been a ground issue. It seems like the instrument panel and the instrument box assembly are not grounded or something.
Okay so I rechecked The gauge the ground the wiring I'm getting 6 V that's it. at the gauge It's 6 V at TB 5 post 8. It's 6 V and I'm assuming it goes into S1 at post 13 and 14. I'm only getting 6. Volts. There where do I go next?
I have seen the guage read correctly I tested it in a humvee yesterday and it works. Yes it is hooked up correctly. I've traced it to a point but I'm not sure where to go. I've tried reading the schematic but it loses me. Where does the signal originate. I kno it dosent come directly off the...
Hey yall. So as stated in the title I have a problem with my battery guage well someing related to the guage. The guage works fine I've tested that and the charging system works its reading 27 volts. But at the wires goin to the guage I'm only getting 12 volts. Any idea what it could be?
So when I've got a load on the generator regardless of how much the load even to the point of bogging it down is the ammeter dosent get above the 25% mark. With a surge it jumps to the 50% mark and goes back below the 25% mark. I tired a multimeter yesterday day and I jus got 0 across the board...
Hey yall. I just recently acquired a mep002a. I've been doin a little work here and there on it and it runs great. I can power almost my entire house with it. But I've run into a small problem. I've got good power output and all that good jazz but the ammeter isn't working, let me rephrase that...
