I came across this while searching on the internet
https://www.hummerpartsguy.com/ASSEMBLY-TIE-ROD-FRONT-LH-OR-RH-MOOG-PROBLEM-SOLVER_p_7206.html
Does this work with all the other OEM stuff?
I want to replace the outer front tie rod ends that connect to the geared hub, but I'm not sure wether they are left or right hand threads, can anybody tell me for sure what thread direction they are? and if they are both the same direction of course
thanks in advance
Actually I’m not really looking to rebuilding it anymore, I was worried because the v-belts were flapping a lot at idle even if they are nice and tensioned, and thought that the pulley bearing was going for good, turns out belt flap is apparently normal at idle and so is the vibration/shakiness...
I'm trying to find the correct rebuild kit for my '88 M998 alternator, it's the 60 amp model
I found 2 kits, both from Prestolite, 2920-01-168-4129 and 2920-01-168-4130, but have no idea which one I should get
Any advice would be appreciated!
I’m gonna have a look and see if it has anything to do with the flashers, sadly I can’t find the tags with the wire numbers, I don’t know if they are in the electrical tape wrap or if there’s any at all
I tried operating it both with engine on and off, didn’t seem to do anything apparent enough to noticed.
I’m going to try and see if it affects the starting circuit
Didn’t try this, however I already have a “safety switch” which is basically a battery switch which was installed by the previous owner, and said owner didn’t tell me about any other post-production installed switches
Title is self explanatory, I’m gonna attach a couple of pictures.
vehicle is a 1988 M998 Humvee, 6.2L 3speeds.
the switch is right by the steering column, it’s a on-off toggle switch/breaker
I wanted to buy a brushguard for my Humvee, but since it can barely fit in my garage by itself, I don't want to buy it without knowing the precise width beforehand
Can anybody in here that owns one or has one on hand do me the favour of taking a precise measurament of said brushguard?
This is...
That’s what I did, I put the thermostatic switch and the manual switch in line so it the engine is overheating and the thermostatic switch fails, I can still engage the fan manually by breaking the circuit
