Thanks for the reply. The problem I'm having is the hard line is pressed against the alternator bracket. I can't reattach the soft line onto it. Any advice?
HMMWV 1087 R1 Metal fuel line running along top and then snakes down next to alternator to soft line disconnected yesterday spilling fuel everywhere. Has anyone had that issue? I can't seem to get the hose to reattach. The metal fuel line has almost zero space between the alternator fastner...
My mechanic! He told me that the noise would still be there due to the portals. He said that a transmission with overdrive would still be loud due to the portals. I'd just like to go 40-45mph and be able to talk at the same time.
I wanted to switch my transmission out to a 4-speed due to the noise at 35-40 with the engine screaming in 3rd. He said it wouldn't make a difference due to the portals I have on the 1097R1.
My question is:
- How do I tell if a HMMWV has these portals when looking online?
- Do all the HMMWV's...
Anytime I come to a stop in my 1097R1, it rocks a little front to back. I'm guessing it's the fuel doing it. Does anyone else have this issue? Whats the best solution? New fuel tank?
