I also forgot to mention that I disconnected the starter module and it let me attach the connecter to the battery without it making big sparks.

I already tried with it disconnected. it actually got stuck starting with the original switch.

I just rebuilt it and put it back in and it still moves freely.

I assume you're talking about the starter control box right? I opened up my box today and mine doesn't have a solenoid.
