    Cross country trip?

I should probably look into getting the fuel gauge fixed or I could just pay attention and fill up every 150 miles. Turns out I'm not heading back to San Diego as planned (my potential new house was just rented out). I'm going to head for the Fort Carson, Colorado area. I'm a DoD employee, I can...

    Cross country trip?

Yeah, I figured I'd be broke by the time I made it there just from filling up. That 10 MPG thing tho is gonna really hurt my feelings after a few fill ups. I dunno... got a little bit of time to really consider what to do. I'm pretty sure the truck could do it and turns out I have more than...

    Cross country trip?

So, I'm moving in the next few weeks... from NC to San Diego (around 22oo miles). The problem is I'm leaving my great running modern car here for me ex. My only other vehicle is my '77 M880. My question is has anyone made a really long trip like that in an M880? I have a week or so to make...

    Gas tank or alternative...

That would be a good idea... Then I could run 2 tanks, stock 20 gallon and aux/ramcharger 30 gallon. Hmmmm... I see a project taking shape... Thanks...

    Gas tank or alternative...

Hmmmm... That could be the culprit. Leaks when full or overfull. Guess I'll look into that. Knew the tank was plastic but didn't consider something could be rotted up there other than the tank. Thanks. Still interested in installing a fuel cell in the spare tire's location for some much needed...

    Gas tank or alternative...

I'm on the hunt for a replacement fuel tank... Or some clever alternative (i.e. Fuel cell). Truck needs to stay street legal in NC and I'll have the spare tire space available as well (spare being mounted in bed baja truck style with 2 fuel cans and 2 watercans). My fuel tank seems to leak at...

    Few questions...

Hi, been outta the loop for awhile... just recently got back stateside and gotta few questions about my '77 M880. I guess just after I left several months ago, the truck stopped driving... had GF take it to shop... holes in tranny fluid line and something about the starter relay. Simple fixes...

New owner... doing a little troubleshooting.

Hi folks... brand new MV owner. Picked up a nice '77 M880 from a member on here. Love the truck... engine feels strong and plan to hang onto it for years. One issue came up though during the 180 mile drive home. First hour to hour and a half the truck was doing fine on the freeway...
