Would removing it altogether require tuning the truck? Or does it provide a beneficial role for the engine. I have read some posts on it privides scavenging though, logically I do not see how an obstruction, even one designed to flow, would create a scavenging effect.
What would cause the...
I got an 1151 back in February of last year. It was supposed to be a running driveable truck. I had a friend check it out before I bought it.
Well it didnt run long. I have driven it a handful of times before i parked it. Each time, it ran progressively worse. It had almost no fuel in it from...
Too much to overcome in 3 months. Plus steep learning curve. The TMs are helpful by diagnosing problems vs just buying the next fix was too expensive for a route to success.
In the end i had 2 problems left to overcome that were deal breakers for this year. Radiator overheating and black smoke...

Did you put a fyse in line on the hotleads? If so what amperage?
I plan to run the following 12v items
Garmin
Power ports for cell...
Not to resurrect an old thread, bit it's pretty spot on. Will this kit allow me to tap into the transmission for the backup lights or do I still need source the 3/4" thread adapter bushing? Thanks.
"Looking on one of the 4x4 boards they all recommended a product called PB Blaster to loosen the connection. I am a believer in that product, now! Worked well.
I took the longest ratchet that was in the drawer and two long extensions to allow me to really torque it up from just beyond the...
