Thanks for the info. Any links to the manuals that say they're rated for 60% grades? I wasn't even going to worry about side hills. I've been bitten in the rear on ATVs before on steep grades so I'm always a little leery.

When off road, what is the steepest grade you've navigated, safely? 20%, 30%, more perhaps?

What do you mean? When you say drivetrain ,do you mean engine only, as in the oil pump might not be able to keep up? I don't know each individual transmission gear ratio (1st through 5th) but it's essentially negligible as I'm quite sure 1st - 3rd are less than 1:1 , 4th is probably 1:1, and...
