    My new 43 WC-51

Very nice truck! I also think that it is a European return, probably Norwegian. Just a side note: The markings above the wheels: "TP 35" or "T.P. 35" are post war additions. The allies didn't use those markings until after the war. My Febr 12 1945 Dodge WC51 (Ex Norway) was marked "Max T.P. 35...

    WC-51 gun mount

The WC51 most often had the M24 mount, but enclosed is a picture of a WC51 or WC52 parked outside a theater in Paris in the summer/fall of 1944 with a ring mount. I have seen just this photo of a WC 51/52 with ring mount, but quite a few Dodge WC 62/63 ones with it. Goran N

    WC/Power Wagon on rails

Here are two pictures of a French Dodge WC51 fitted with RR wheels. Both the British, US and French used those, together with Jeeps fitted the same way. The WC could pull pretty big loads by itself, the Jeeps were often used in pairs to do the same job. The French also used Dodge WC51's with...

WWII dodge ambulance ~ Need some information

The WC54 did not have a high-low as such. The right hand side lever engages the front wheel drive. 1st gear in the gearbox as a a low, or off-road, gear. The 4-wheel drive is supposed to be run only in 1st gear. I always start my 1945 Dodge WC51 (Mechanically identical to the WC54) in second...

    Machine gun ring on WC

I cropped the original picture and cleaned it up in Photoshop in order to bring out as much detail as possible. The photo was small and at low resolution and I used a special program to make it bigger, which helped a little. BTW - my name is G o r a n, not Gordon  Wishing everybody a...

*** New Feature - PM Auto Prune

What you have there is a late model (third model rear body 1944-45) Dodge WC52, with the winch missing. Parts are fairly easy to find. Midwest Military's got most of the stuff you need. The basic 213 c.i. engine was built by Dodge, in one form or another, until 1968 or so. The gears are a tad...

*** New Feature - PM Auto Prune

That's the inherent problem when a organization grows in size, it takes some regulation in order for it not to become an anarchy. The MV hobby is having problems with the environmental movement that are after us for driving our "Gas guzzling" "gigantic" vehicles. What they tend to forget is...
