Did you ever get this figured out? I just picked up my first 831A, got it fired up and had the same issue. Of course I didn't read the TM first, so there was a little big of panic of, I started this gen, I have no way to shut it down if something bad happens (as this was the first test run).
I...
I picked up a MEP803a on a M1116A3 trailer from Chambersburg, PA on auction. I am looking for recommendations/quotes on transport from PA to Orlando, FL. The trailer looks in good shape. The Gen has to be picked up by Oct 2.Looking for MEP803a on trailer from Chambersburg, PA to Orlando, FL
So it appears everyone is sold out of the short style airpacks for the M35A2. Does anyone have a source of these that are in good condition?
Also, has anyone went from a short airpack to a long airpack incase I can't find a shorty?
I still haven't gotten everything back together yet, so I'm not 100% sure if the kit fixed it. My airpack was a wreck and I'm still working on that, plus all my wheel cylinders. I just haven't had any time to finish this project yet. :(
Hey guys,
I'm in the process of redoing the breaks in my M35A2. I tore done the short airpack in hopes of rebuilding it to find out there was some serious pitting on the canister. I am wondering if anyone has this part they would be willing to sell me. I don't need the full airpack as everything...
You must pull the hubs out to get to the cylinders, I'm in the middle of that process right now.
If you put DOT3 in, I would recommend flushing all of the lines and replacing with DOT5. This is why I'm having to rebuild my breaks. The Master Cylinder, air-pack and one of the wheel cylinders...
This I am aware of, I was told by a few people I know that there was a lot of non-spec shear pins that got released as NOS and I don't want to break a pin when not even near full load on the winch. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm in the process of redoing all of the brakes on my M35A2.
I picked up a rebuild kit and I noticed a few differences and wanted to get some input.
The seal at the very back is slightly smaller and doesn't fit in snug like the old seal. I went ahead and rebuilt it with the new seal seeing...
A sheared shear pin. I replaced it with another that came with the truck, but I plan to replace it with a bolt instead. It failed right when my friend said it would, when the truck is up to the bumper in mud.
I haven't had time/money to do a full maintenance on this truck yet. I've had it for maybe 6 months now. I only drove it home and maybe 10 miles around. Mostly at low speeds down the power lines.
It wasn't used for 2 years much from the previous owner. I think this is the hub he said he...
Well started out with break failure, and a leaky rear wheel cylinder. So I went out to take it for a ride in the back pasture before tearing into the breaks. Well I got stuck in a dry creek bed and while winching my self out, the winch stopped working and started making a lot of noise. I had to...
Wish I knew this when I did my clutch. I bought a tool, didn't fit 100% but got close enough and then used my eyes and a flashlight before tightening it all the way down.
