Should i go with Green or Camo on a m1009

The 3 color camo is just THE way to go IMO. But then again, I live in the woods of WV. Camo aint too uncommon here. ****, even if I lived somewhere else, I'd still go with camo. I tend to scare people regardless of vehicle type/paint. The whole "rottweiler in the front seat and pistol on your...

    M1009 with 2.5-4 inch lift???

dduncan, if you are concerned about driveline issues, do some research on the matter, your drivetrain is exactly the same as a normal k5 from that era (except of course those few differences which don't even really matter in this situation). They even made a few (not to common) 6.2l diesel civvy...

    Taming "Brutus"

Well, I have had the truck for a few weeks now, and I've been slowly but surely working out it's issues as time and money permits. My goal is to get this truck into shape for being my daily driver. I don't have to drive far so I'm not too worried about other issues that I'm sure will come up as...

    M1009 with 2.5-4 inch lift???

I don't have an M1009, but i can tell you that lifting yours and keeping stock size tires will not look too good (at least in my opinion). I would recommend a lift of the size your are referring to with a set of 33" tires. Also, I'm sure some of the other folks on here can give you more...

    Cucv iv?????

Well, these were about 15 minutes form Camp Dawson, WV. So next time I see the guy I know who is stationed there, I'll ask him if they came from there. Hard to say what the deal was, but they were not tagged with civilian plates or inspection stickers. Kinda took me by surprise to see them just...

    Cucv iv?????

I was wondering if anyone had heard about or seen any "cucv type" MV's based on the latest generation of gm trucks. I saw a few '07 and up chevy's that were obviously set up like cucv's. To me it looks like GM is at it again with the attempts to get a contract for them. I would have stopped and...

Well, it took a little longer than anticipated, but i managed to take a few pics of the truck. It does have a few rust issues, but over all it's pretty solid.

    new guy from WV

Well, thanks for the warm welcome folks. I was gonna try to take some pics of my rig today, but daylight has run out on me :(. I do have a name for it though, I'm calling it "Brutus" lol. I think it fits. Rest assured, I will be taking some pics as soon as i get the chance [thumbzup] To answer...

    new guy from WV

Howdy folks, checking in from WV. Been lurking around and taking advantage of the wealth of info on here for a while now. I just purchased my first CUCV, a 1985 M1028. I'm loving it! It has a few issues, but hey, it's 25 years old! Hope to stick around for a while. even if only for the GREAT...
