I got pics, I will dig them out sometime soon. I'm not up for typing all day so I will give you the short end description on what your looking for. Steel plate, some was scratch stuff laying around and others had pieces of the kits that were made for deuces and 5 tons for troop...

    Guntrucks of Vietnam

Just a FYI for those of you. PB said "I can honestly say that I have never met a better/nicer/humbler bunch of guys in my time on God's green earth. " Is such a true statement and to have been apart of it for such a long time, it really still is humbling to this day to have witnessed a lot of...

    R985 radial engine Pratt Whitney

Awesome job. If you ever get a chance to seek one out. The original 40's & 50''s PW emblem was made from porcelain. Sun Air Parts I believe makes a copy for collectors. That would be an awesome piece to add to that instead of the metal one and before you crimp it in there. Be sure...

Honoring the Proud American Gun Truck

OH PB I feel your pain. Nothing but fuel issues with mine so far. Had to flush the tank so now I know I am no longer contaminating my system with crap. Yet bleeding the mack is a Mother F&$*er when it comes to the MF. Now I am replacing the old aeroquip hoses one by one for...

R.I.P. Sam Seay "Ace of Spades" Crew Member

Yep, truly a nice guy. Glad to meet him in 2002 for the first time and help him find stuff when Ace was going together. Been trying to find my pic that I took of him sitting in the door way of ACE at PF in 08. He was just sitting there I asked him if he was ok and he said "Just looking...

R.I.P. Sam Seay "Ace of Spades" Crew Member

Just doing a quick check in for all of the Gun Truck followers. The owner of the Replica "Ace of Spades" and original crew member Sam Seay passed away yesterday at 67.

    B-29: The "Kee Bird" Disaster

How would you ship it out???? It was beyond fuel range for most helicopters. The initial investigation trip was by huey and they had to shuttle fuel to a half way point just to reach it to investigate it.

    B-29: The "Kee Bird" Disaster

Oh I do love a good "Kee Bird" thread. Whoever it was that posted about Daryell's name in the community, he is right. He has not been heard from since. What could have got "Kee Bird" out is DEEP POCKETS and have done it right. Paul Allen for one would have stepped up if she were still...

M62A1 leaving for it's new home.

Any G744 parts left over?? I am slowly getting back to the big girls after the divorce. I sold the 151 prior cause I knew it was in the cards. I think I still have parts for them if you want to trade. I still have my 54A1, 52A2 and the 62.

    M923a2 war wagon

Your headed in the right direction with this thought and someone has done their homework as that gun box looks really good. Would love to see more pics. Ive been doing research on the transportation units in Vietnam since 1997 and your definition of "gun truck" is correct that a task vehicle...

Honoring the Proud American Gun Truck

You have no idea PB. Ive done 3 deuces, the 37 and 151 and the 52 and when I work on this 54 I still see things where its dinged or damaged and once I got looking at it and the hair on my neck stood on end. There is just an aura about it that I cant explain. Hope your doing well?

Honoring the Proud American Gun Truck

I am more than darn sure mine was there. Not only is it between 2 known GT's but it was a Taiwan depot rebuild in 1974. Been noting a lot of them now, mostly trucks in the north east.
