Love mine... pulled down to FL from VA and back for Irma without any issues!! We had 400 gal of fluid in it too.

Yea thats the one... the ends are what appear to be failing. The rubber is degrading to a point it's beginning to fall apart.

I just purchased my M1081 from another SS member in our area... I am in Northern VA so we arent far from each-other. But that is where my usefulness ends. Sorry I cant help more with that problem, I am just learning the platform myself.

All, was looking for a new slave cable to connect from my M1081 LMTV to my wonderful matching trailer! The one I have works, but is dry-rotted and will likely fail sooner rather than later. Ideas?

Haha... hey guys. Well, I was the guy that bought it... and although we misspelled the name on the way down, we are fixing in now that were back. SJOHN took great care of the truck, it ran like a top down to FL, for the week and back.

Hey guys... just purchased a M1081 a week ago to bring down to FL to help with Hurricane Victims. Worked great, made the trip down and back up pulling a trailer full of fuel, supplies with no problems. Now its back in Northern VA area with me, and I would like to get to know more about it.

Good info.. I am new to this, as I just purchased my LMTV 1081. Wouldn't there still be cost benefit in having a set cut rather than just one?

I would be interested in the spare set of glass for the windshield on my 81.

I'm interested in one if we can get one fabbed.

I read somewhere else that the door glass is the same on all LMTV's? I just bought a M1081, may not be a bad spare item to have.
