apparently you missed the humor intended.... at least at first. That does make me wonder though... maybe I could makes some money on Only Fan's posting pictures of military truck porn??
>- would battery disconnect at positives of the 12 and 24 sides of polarity box be a good place to interrupt/kill with a switch for the positives?
>- For the Negative.... would one negative interrupt/kill be sufficient..... if so which negative line? Keeping NATO not interrupted by these...
On the fording switch when dash lights are on... is there a red small indicator (tiny LED size) that will show indicating Fording mode is activated (fan off). Tiny speck of a Little red light. Was night time when I saw it on dash so not sure if that Tiny light was part of the switch or just...
using a GL-5 that is GL-4 compatible is fine. GL-4 (and compatibles) wont have detergents in them that cause issues with yellow metals (brass copper etc). BIG deal to make sure to use GL-4 or compatible..
for future clarity.... so each alternator's ground went directly to battery it charged. The grounds between 12v battery's were connected as well. All stayed balanced and happy.
you can re-wire to a standard light switch. Otherwise ebay... but only get one of that particularly military type that shows a ground screw on back. The non ground screw ones..... seemed to cause fires.. not a good thing.
PS- unlike the past... our FMTV's are 12v lights... NOT 24v
there has been some hmmm on this one. Not enough belt wrap on either alt. and the material it is made of.... is potential vibration crack are things that have been brought up.
I wanna do two alts but for different reason (one dedicated to house/aux. batts. ) still brainstorming on how to do...
potato / potaato - but sorta notto- cause it identifies a feature...... is it not more so:
Load BALANCE control (or charge) device (or disconnect)?
If LBCD does not do any "balancing" between the 12v banks then obviously not. Was under the impression it did.
Nice set up. Don't think you would get imbalance with your set up..... beyond nothings perfect. A tiny balancer, nothing super special would likely be enough insurance though likely not "needed". Folk more expert than I will wade in.
Wonder if you could run your 28v charger thru a...
pretty sure links can be posted. review the rules.... its less an issue that people turned it into. Mostly rule is about auctions (like gov. planet) where people were 1. mentioning them here, creating sometimes unwarranted run up the auction price and 2. to support the sites advertisers who...
is the charger auto shut off? Suggest you put a battery balancer in your mix of batts. Since he 12v use side always goes low.... charging with 24v only the charger will end up cooking battery(s) due to imbalance even if that charger has an auto shut off.
in post linked below and a few post after; two of our "super users" you could say brought up adding some filters into CTIS for generic reasons. This sparked a thought on doing that for stopping concerns about using balance beads with CTIS... Didn't want to Hijack the thread that filter was...
ok.. so it lifts front tires..... appears to not actually "steer it ".. .. did come across one pic of it mounted and like you say; "front tires lifted off ground". Found nothing in info or pics that I could find, whic seemed to point to front tires being down and they got steered by the...
sad they moved this out of hummer forum. this post is specific to hummers; with it moved now; it likely wont be seen by the most relevant population .. No one goes in this thread but sellers... leaving out the much larger population being those who have hummer things on their shelf collecting...
What are we looking at? a Dub with integrated tow dolly feature (pic above) - other Towd's seem to have standard tow bar... orrrr? Beside the name dont see yet the relevance.. (did search this rig...didn't find any info on it beeing steered though. )
