So you can lift the truck how many inches and do the T-case drop before you have to extend the driveshaft? More than 6? Also, I thought the pinion angle was supposed to be aligned (or close to aligned with slight neg) with the driveshaft to avoid excess wear on your u-joints. Am I wrong or...

That is good that they shim them, however I have seen some lifted Blazers and the pinion is WAY off. Mine explaining the trans xmember thing a little better?

It just seems weird that the Chevy people don't want to fix their pinion angles while they are at it..:confused:

Okay, so what about shimming, extending the driveshaft? Anything else needed to be done past 4"?

What else is needed to do after lifting the M1009 higher than 4 inches? I have heard extending the driveshaft, but would you not just drop the carrier bearing some and shim the pinion angle? That's what's the norm on my Tacoma at least. Let me know what else needs to be done, I like the 4"...

Oh well, my questions are irrelevant. Those three Blazers are not for sale. Two are sold already ($7000 each) and one the guy is keeping. Guess the rust bucket is back in my list of choices. However he wants $2500 and I would like it to be lower, considering all the body rust and couple seal...

Do you guys have SF97s though? Or can you get away with just having a bill of sale?

Thanks everyone. I will have to to check with getting an SF97 form. There are three in the veterans museum lot here in Huntsville that are in good condition. I will have to ask the owners if they bought them from GL. If they did, I will have to see if they can request an SF97 for me. If worst...

I have been looking at M1009s lately but the ones that are in good exterior/frame condition do not have titles. If anyone knows anything about acquiring a title for an M1009 in the state of Alabama please let me know.
