    Commercial use of M915's, 916's, 920's etc...

Looking for photos and knowledge of M900(CCC/AM General) 20 ton trucks that have been put back into regular use commercially. Starting this thread as an excuse to brag about my most recent use for a 915a1, but I'm looking forward to someone showing me up! I've added a CB, TomTom GPS, Pioneer...

    915a1 top speed

No idea. Tach and speedo are busted and haven't had a chance to fix. Currently using TomTom for speedo. Honestly, I just run it by sound and feel. Not very scientific but it'll have to do for now!

Who's insuring your 5 ton tractors?

We use Commercial Specialties out of Ruston, LA. They have been great! They've been able to get me cards after hours in emergencies and are very familiar with MV's. I can buy a truck halfway across the country and call them when i get there to pick it up. I send them the VIN and they email...

My M915A1 My 1983 M915A1 - Fully rebuilt by TX RSMS in 2004. Showing 25,928 miles and I believe it b/c engine acts like it's not broken in yet. Singled out truck and trailer with 385/65/22.5's off of M989 ammo trailers. Gives truck a cruising speed of 65 and allows my one carried spare to...

    M818 + Deuce Bed = Best Methods?

If you are going to pull a trailer I would recommend either extending the frame or cutting the bed down. M818 has a full 12' bed on it; and if I don't swing extremely wide my 989a1 trailer will hit the bed when turning. I'm planning on using the winch frame extensions from a parts truck. Will...
