I agree that this is a great site in that it has neat mv and helpful tips and info...it's the militant hall monitor stuff that is always irksome on any forums. Newbies are newbies and will ask more questions than forum lifers, that's always the case and different forums have different rules to...
Yikes! you're an angry little poster aren't you...you've been after me on a couple threads.
btw-I did search and I was looking through a variety of ways that people have gone about dealing with the brake light wiring...this conversion was one that I thought would be the quickest easiest way...
I thought I saw a connector plug setup that has a four prong flat plug and military plug which I could use to connect my brake light setup to the m105a2. Anyone know where that post is and how much one of those plugs costs or where to get one?
Thanks,
T
Thanks for the input guys. I've taken numerous pics but not sure how to post them on here. I'm gonna make this m105a2 work unless someone nearby wants to trade, just thought I'd throw it out there. already flipped the lunette ring and not just looking for a 4 prong to militray plug connector...
I'm in socal (oceanside/fallbrook) and have a nice reconditioned (2006) m105a2 trailer with top bows, side rails, and canopy cover that I'm thinking about selling or possibly trading for a m101 trailer with side rails, top bows, and canopy cover.
I wouldn't really mind keeping this trailer...
do you want to make a unit and ship it to me???
actually, I was wanting to install onboard air for airing up and down tires for offroading...could that all be combined into one unit?
btw-that's a great setup...my dad and i were talking about the same thing today while we were...
we've already checked on the uhaul option and it was 1k so we decided to buy a trailer and at least have something to show for the money and if we decide to sell it then anything we'll get for it will at least bring us cash back.
also, it appears as though we're going to go through the eastern...
this trailer is for a move from socal to colorado so this is not going to be a camping/offroad trailer. we're probably just going to sell it once we get to colorado or just use it for storage.
as far as the height, I'm going to flip the drawbar ring which will add some front height and level...
yep, thanks. we're addressing the brakes now...checking out the electric actuator to replace the air actuator so that the trailers stock brakes work. That should be plenty good enough.
ok, the tow vehicle is a 97 landcruiser with a tow capaity of 5000 #'s US and for some reason 7000 #'s outside the states. so towing it isn't a problem although I do want it as light as possible. for now I think that removing the front wheel assambly and some leafs will get it down a couple...
obviously I need the bed so that we can use the trailer for towing our stuff out to colorado. I didn't think that removing leafs would take off much weight just some weight while also lowering the trailer. removing the front wheel assembly is probably the best option since I'm not wanting to...
so I'm thinking that I'll remove a couple leafs from the leaf spring packs, which will also lower the trailer a bit (something i want) while reducing weight.
I've also heard about removing the from wheel assembly and just using a generic trailer crank post to hold it up for storage.
I've...
