    Adding lights

There are switches on these lights? Thats awesome! If you are using the switches on the lights themselves..then no relay..If you are using a remote switch, they I'd recommend a relay. As stated before in previous posts, voltage drop and the load on the switch is the main issue.

    What is switching it?

    Newbie from NM

In our case, at the lake, you typically don't tow your trailer more than just a couple of miles. Mine is about a mile of travel from where I normally camp. You should see a big F350, chevy or a dodge trying to get these things out...very simply - they don't. Some areas of the beach are really...

    Newbie from NM

Hi Steven! Great to see someone from my area. I bought my truck for the same reason to go out to Elephant Butte. I have the truck with the 5th wheel hitch that looks like a swim platform. I went through a lot more trouble than that, but it looks like a great idea! Hope to see you out these...

Deuce has a low air leak

:ditto: I fully agree...First strange thing - keeping 30psi at night? Unheard of from people that I know...plus, not creating +80psi...you'd have a problem that would be VERY obvious. Althought BadMastard claims not to be an expert, that is the most viable explanation I have heard so far..

Newb here, question from the wiser Deuce owners

The is THE BEST idea I have seen on here so far. I'd do this, wait about 6 months, then buy a deuce...Maybe not in California, but there are plenty of places within a day or 2 drive that will have great deals.

    M35A2 Knuckle Boot Grease Type

I just did my boots..I was afraid of adding too much...I just did a tube in each one...but I have a feeling you can pack more in there...I am just afraid of OVER packing it...which was the case when I got this truck..

Deuce has a low air leak

That's not a slow air leak...that would be obvious... What do you have on this truck?

Deuce has a low air leak

Hahahahaha...right? :ditto: Is this really a problem? Does it lose air while driving? I mean, if your compressor disengages at some point, and doesn't turn on unless you are actually USING air, I don't see the big deal if it gets down to 30 psi if sitting overnight...everything isn't THAT...

    Missing a plug here?

You know, the funny thing is that I bought this truck to help get me in/out to soft spots in sand on the beach..I got tired of tearing up my F350 and replacing transmissions or hubs on it all the time...It works great for this, and has never left me stuck, or abandoned me by something breaking...

    Missing a plug here?

I am just wondering because you can see where it was splashing back in my pictures, and even see a drop of oil. Could that be a clogged vent on the transmission or something and that's the only escape? (as suggested by gimpyrobb) ?

    Adding Differential Oil

Thanks so much. I just found an old post that showed this...I posted onto that...What keeps dirt out? Why does so much oil come out after long trips?

    Missing a plug here?

Wow...I was freaking out until I read this post! I crawled under to do diff oil service, and I saw this and my heart dropped. Why does so much oil come out of there? I drove mine back from where I keep it out at the lake (about 130 miles away) and this think leaked for a week straight! I...

    Adding Differential Oil

Thank you guys so much. I was able to finally get the troublesome fitting off...I ended up having to heat up everything, chisel away at stuff, and I was able to finally get it with my impact wrench...Oil had a good level..I was just freaking out. Now, I discovered another problem while I was...

    Adding Differential Oil

I am afraid to hit it with an impact wrench because the 1/2in square is a little bigger than 1/2in...If I hit it with my impact wranch, THEN I'd be in trouble and would have to weld the bolt on it like previous post... The reason I am concerned with paint and rustproofing is because of the...

    Adding Differential Oil

So smack the breaker so that its force is dirctly into the square? Does that seat the 1/2 driver better, or help to break the threads up a little? So far, I am seeing I need to torch it and melt that paint/rustproof stuff off first, then just nail the driver into it directly? I can't wait to...

    Adding Differential Oil

I originally started using just the 1/2 square on my wranch, then I got a 3/4in adapter > 1/2in Square @ Harbor Freight for a breaker bar that I use regularly...am I using something wrong?

    Adding Differential Oil

Thanks Westech, Thats what my worry was from filling from the vent hole...trust me, I feel bad even thinking it, but my fill plug with the 1/2" square has so much rustproofing and god knows how much paint over it..I can't get it loose..I even started to think that the threds are reversed...I...

    Adding Differential Oil

Hello, I recently have been doing a general workover on my Deuce. I bought this 2 years ago to help me out in the soft southwest soft sand at the lake because I was tired of tearing up my F350. I have to admit, I was totally lost when I bought this, and I was concerned that I wouldn't be...
