    Well, I threw in the newly rebuilt alternator and same thing happened, gen 1 light blew out as soon as I revved up the motor a couple hundred rpm's.....

    OK, so ive read through what I can too try and see what happened, no luck. So i ordered the alt rebuild kit for gen1 from CUCVELECTRIC.COM, put everything together, installed in the truck( 1986 m1008), fired it up, the light was pulsing as it was idling, revved it up a bit and the gen1 light...
